If Britain is to meet its net zero commitments, the airline industry needs to change. Ecojet is that change.

Our story began in 2020. Grounded by the COVID lockdown, airline pilot Brent Smith came across a copy of the book Manifesto by Ecotricity founder and green entrepreneur Dale Vince. Inspired by Dale’s story, Brent started thinking about applying the same sustainable principles to airlines. This was the inspiration that led to Ecojet Airlines.

Brent began researching the technologies required for carbon neutral flying, and approached Dale to help him turn the dream into reality. Instead of telling people they have to give up flying to live sustainably, we’ve found another way.

Ecojet is the final piece of the puzzle in the electrification of transport. Electric cars, trucks and buses are now part of everyday life, and with our hydrogen powered electric engines, we’re going to revolutionise aviation.

You can still fly, and flying with Ecojet will hasten Britain’s transition to net zero.

Iconic Edinburgh
Ecojet is based in Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, and plans to connect cities across the UK with zero-carbon flights.

Into the Future...

The world's first zero-emission commercial flights will launch right here in the UK with our 19 seat aircraft.  Powered by ZeroAvia's ZA600 hydrogen-electric engine, we will fly passengers on routes of up to 300 miles.

Our next step will be to connect UK cities with European destinations using our larger 70+ seat aircraft, adapted for zero-emission flight with the ZA2000 engine.  This aircraft will be capable of carrying passengers on routes of up to 1000 miles.

It's one step at a time, but Ecojet’s big, bold, ambitious goal is to bring you zero-emission flights.
